About the role

Rally is on a mission to transform how product, design, and research teams connect with their users to build incredible products that solve real problems.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled and results-driven Sr. Demand Generation Manager to join our marketing team. This role will be focused on driving lead generation and conversion optimization through paid digital channels such as LinkedIn Ads, Google AdWords, and website conversion strategies. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in digital advertising, performance marketing, and optimization tactics, and will be responsible for creating and executing campaigns that deliver measurable business growth in the form of ARR.

What You’ll Do:

  • Paid Channel Management: Design, execute, and optimize ad campaigns across paid channels (and explore new ones). This will be our first demand gen hire, so someone who is more generalist and can uncover potential opportunities for success across channels like LinkedIn, Google AdWords, Reddit, YouTube, and/or content syndication is ideal.
  • A/B Testing and Optimization: Continuously test and optimize ad copy, targeting, landing pages, and bids to ensure maximum ROI. Leverage data-driven insights to refine campaign performance.
  • Website Optimization: Partner with Content and Product Marketing to optimize website content, improve conversion flows, and increase performance through A/B testing, personalization, and SEO.
  • Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with the Sales and Product teams to align messaging, targeting, and creative strategies, ensuring a seamless funnel experience.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Regularly analyze campaign performance, report on key metrics such as CPL, CPA, and ROI, and present actionable insights to leadership. .

  • Your Impact on the Funnel: We expect you to take a full-funnel approach to marketing and measure your success in terms of leads, pipeline volume, conversion rates, and velocity.
  • Your Ability to Balance Proven Tactics with High-Potential Experiments: We want to see a mix of initiatives that drive steady improvement and bold tests that could unlock step-change growth.
  • Your Skill in Defining Strategy, Then Executing with Precision: As a lean team, we need you to zoom in and out – from collaborating with stakeholders on big-picture plans to rolling up your sleeves and making things happen.
  • Your Effectiveness in Accelerating Our Learning Cycles: We're looking for a hypothesis-driven approach to rapid experimentation, coupled with a discipline of documenting what works to inform future iterations.
  • Your Collaboration with Sales, Customer Success, and Product Teams: In our remote-first environment, structured thinking and clear communication are essential.
  • Your Commitment to Honing Your Craft and Elevating the Team: As a small team, we’ll win by learning faster than the competition. Challenge yourself to learn new technology and tools, and share your knowledge to keep us ahead of the curve.

What Does an Ideal Background Look Like?

  • 6+ years of Demand Gen or Growth Marketing experience, with a track record of driving full-funnel impact in a B2B SaaS environment that sells to enterprise customers.
  • Hands-on experience across a variety of paid channels, including designing, executing, and optimizing ad campaigns. A proven track record of experimentation and analysis.
  • Proficiency in managing paid media budgets, ensuring campaign spend is optimized and aligned with business goals.
  • Experience at a venture-backed, early-stage startup in a go-to-market role, demonstrating your ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where you’re forced to make trade-offs about priorities and resources.
  • Proficiency with different ad platforms, HubSpot, and Webflow. Familiarity with other elements of our tech stack (Notion, Contrast, Navattic, etc.) is a plus, but more importantly, we’re looking for someone with a track record of quickly mastering new tools and platforms.
  • Familiarity with SEO and organic lead generation strategies to complement paid campaigns.
