What We Do

Taiv transforms awareness ads into performance marketing. Our computer vision algorithms are able to replace live TV commercials in bars and restaurants with targeted and measurable ads. We work with over 1,000 venues and many fortune-1000 advertisers like AbInBev, Coke, Pepsi, ESPN, and more.

Why It Matters?

Taiv makes businesses more fun, engaging, profitable, and easier to manage for patrons, business owners, and advertisers.

Our product is free for venue owners - we cover the cost of the hardware, install, and maintenance. They get to promote their own house advertisements, automate their TV systems, and access our streaming, trivia, and automation. We also give them control, for the first time ever, over which brands are allowed to advertise on their TVs. Whenever we run an ad, we share some of the revenue with the venue owner. We send a check to thousands of small businesses each month to help them generate incremental revenue.

Cool, But How Does It Work?

We partner with bars and install custom hardware, which attaches to their cable box and uses computer vision to detect commercials in real-time (more about that below). When it cuts to commercial break, we dynamically insert ads that are perfect for that environment. We're also able to measure sales results based on point-of-sale data to provide closed-loop attribution - a first in our industry.

Who we are:

Taiv is a fast-growing tech startup located in Winnipeg, Canada. Taiv uses AI to make business TV more fun, engaging, profitable, and easier to manage, starting with bars and restaurants. We’ve built proprietary tech that uses computer vision to watch live TV and improve the content with contextually-aware commercials, content, and games. Our tech also automates the manual AV tasks that venues have to do every day, to make bar management easier, standardized, and more profitable. We’re venture-capital backed and graduated from Y Combinator, the world’s top tech accelerator, in winter 2020. We are looking for sales experts in the Winnipeg area to join our team!

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for an individual that is passionate about sales and willing to go above and beyond to help Taiv find new restaurant partners. We need someone to generate sales via phone and be the first contact point with potential clients. The Director of Partnerships will help launch markets and sell the client’s customer journey with us; signing up as many new partners as possible!

Who Are You?

  • You are a people person - you love meeting people and people love meeting you.

  • You have a strong grasp on the fundamentals of sales and can apply these fundamentals to helping strategize your outreach strategy.

Your Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a customer-facing role.
  • Sales experience strongly preferred
  • Degree or diploma in marketing and/or sales an asset
  • Located in Winnipeg or willing to relocate

Compensation:

  • Competitive Salary Range: $55,000 CAD base salary + commission + stock options.

Our Tech

We have really cool tech - we build our own hardware and use a heuristics-based computer vision approach for classification. We’re the first (and only) company in the world that can detect TV commercials accurately.

Our detection algorithm runs on our custom-designed TV box that we manufacture in-house. We have hundreds of boxes deployed and are installing more every day.

We also have several web apps built in React that are used by our customers, as well as for internal operations.
