We're looking for a strong Data Engineer to join Alinea. If your aspirations are to become a Head of Data one day, we'd like to help you get there.

Alinea is an investing app for Gen Z. We’re a Y Combinator-backed startup and have raised over $5.5M for our seed round from top investors including Goodwater Capital, F7 Ventures, GFR, and Worklife Ventures. Alinea is looking for a talented data expert to work directly with the founding team in building our data pipeline, predictive models, and analytics infrastructure. We are looking for an ambitious, fast-moving, and creative individual who will help us leverage data to optimize our marketing, improve user engagement, and build the best investing experience for the next generation.

**Role Overview:**
As a Data Engineer at Alinea, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing our data infrastructure, creating predictive models, and uncovering insights that shape our product and business strategy. You’ll work closely with engineers, product managers, and business leaders to develop data-driven solutions that fuel growth and innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Set up a full data pipeline bringing in marketing spend and app analytics.
• Run regressions and ML models on our marketing spend and app usage to predict revenue.
• Conduct real-time analysis of our spend and LTV.
• Perform cohort analysis to understand user behavior and retention.
• Conduct product analytics to understand and predict app usage trends.
• Build out an A/B testing system to optimize user experience and conversion rates.
• Develop and optimize ETL processes to collect, clean, and transform data from multiple sources.
• Implement and manage data storage solutions, ensuring data integrity and security.
• Collaborate with engineering and marketing teams to define data requirements and ensure seamless data integration.
• Create dashboards and reports to visualize key performance metrics and business trends.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or a related role.
• 2+ years of machine learning, statistical modeling, data mining, and analytics techniques experience
• 2+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.) experience
• Experience with setting up and using data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn).
• You stay current with emerging technologies and implement them strategically
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
