About the Role
As a founding member of our GTM team, you'll own our outbound strategy and have the responsibility of generating pipeline. This is a ground floor opportunity to be the first Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Soma Lab and help shape our go-to-market strategy. You'll be joining a fast-paced startup environment where your role will evolve as we grow. You'll have the autonomy to experiment with different approaches and directly impact our sales pipeline development. For the right candidate, this role offers a clear path to progress into an Account Executive position as we expand our GTM org.

What We’re Looking For
Soma Lab (YC S24) creates simulated conversations with AI patients to scale healthcare training. Students and healthcare providers practice with our healthcare simulations to build skills and get evaluated. It is illegal to train without direct clinical supervision, limiting scale. These restrictions don’t apply to AI patients, providing a scalable solution that helps organizations train more people, meet accreditation standards, and grow faster.

We build AI patients primarily using LLMs but also VLLMs, text to speech and vision models. A big part of what we do involves making the patients more intelligent, more realistic, and medically accurate - this involves lots of algorithmic thinking as well as fine tuning for the LLMs. The patients exist within a simulated environment which is built on Astro and Node.
