As we grow, we’re seeking a People and Operations Lead to play a critical role in shaping our team, and operational processes. This role is perfect for a strategic thinker who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about both people and operational excellence. The role will focus on structuring the operational growth of the Agent+ business, while also supporting the requirements of our local team. 

Role Overview

The People and Operations Lead will oversee staffing and operations, ensuring a seamless and efficient, with a focus on sustaining the growth of Tempo Labs Agent+. You’ll partner with leadership to implement strategies that attract top global talent, foster a thriving culture, and streamline internal processes to support Tempo Labs’ growth. Driving retention of employees and building a more sustainable company growth structure will be important drivers of success. 

Key Responsibilities

People Management

  • Develop and implement a standardized process for onboarding international employees
  • Serve as the point of contact for employee relations, supporting administrating and operational requests.
  • Design and manage employee engagement, development, and performance management programs.

Recruitment and Talent Acquisition

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts, from identifying staffing needs to onboarding top global talent.
  • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline to meet current and future staffing needs. This will include the management of international job boards. 
  • Implement strategies to improve candidate vetting for both design and engineering roles. 

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including vendor management, office logistics (if applicable), and technology tools.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Support leadership in planning and executing company events, meetings, and initiatives.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience

  • 3+ years in HR, recruitment, or operations roles, with experience in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple functions in a fast-paced, growing company (preferably in tech or startups).
  • Bonus Experience: Hiring international contractors from developing countries

Skills

  • Understanding of HR practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with tools like HRIS systems (Currently we use Rippling) and recruitment platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, Lever, and international job boards).
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with employees at all levels.
