We launched in March, scaled revenue, and raised a Series A from a top-tier firm this past week. We’re a small team of 17 and growing. We're building out the founding team in-person in SF to scale what’s working
Forward Deployed Engineers are the bridge between sales and our product by ensuring that customers are able to deploy assistants quickly and without friction. This role will require you to solve technical issues that arise during any phase of the customer journey and act as a champion of Vapi within the organization to identify what other use cases we can solve.
Act as the technical account owner for an enterprise customer relationship once a new deal closes - you will act be the primary PM + engineer both for their team and ours to drive project progress during the pilot period
Work hand-in-hand with the engineers involved in the project to ensure their technical asks are delivered
Be involved in forming the technical scope of work necessary for a successful integration of Vapi within an enterprise - determine which asks are hard requirements vs what can be done with existing functionality
Facilitate communications with key project stakeholders including engineers and VPs to ensure pilot success
Experience with Typescript + Node or similar backend framework, prompt engineering. using LLM agents, and ideally building Vapi assistants
Communication: You can clearly articulate what's going on to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

2+ years of hands on experience shipping products and interacting with enterprise customers - you need to be able to deliver features and speak to enterprise teams from day 1
Quicker learner: You can rapidly ramp up on what a customer's use case and requirements are in order to provide immediate value
Self-starter: You take initiative to get shit done and figure out what's the highest value thing to do
