We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced _ Director of Accounting _ to join our team.
Role Overview:
The _ Director of Accounting _ is a critical leadership position within the finance department, driving the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting operations. In this role, you will be responsible for leading our accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, and providing strategic financial insights to drive our business forward. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical accounting foundation, exceptional communication and leadership skills, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred.
Experience: 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a leadership role.
Technical Skills: Strong technical accounting knowledge, GAAP expertise, and in-depth understanding of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606). Experience with NetSuite is required.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.

Our engineering team is broken up into smaller groups of 5-7 people with a combined full stack skill set. We try to keep meetings to a minimum: there is a daily standup and a weekly task estimation meeting. We have two week release cycles however developers are encouraged to push important features and bug fixes to production as needed. Writing clean, testable code is a point of emphasis and we use GitHub PRs to ensure a minimum quality bar and also to disseminate best practices and spread domain knowledge around.
