Summary

We are seeking a Chemist Technician to support our R&D and production teams in synthesizing and characterizing bioconjugates and nanoparticles. The ideal candidate will assist with laboratory processes, execute routine experiments, and contribute to the scale-up of our technology in a fast-paced, startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in synthesizing bioconjugates and nanoparticles using established chemical methods.
  • Perform purification of bioconjugates using techniques such as size exclusion chromatography and affinity chromatography.
  • Prepare samples and carry out routine analytical techniques such as UV/Vis spectroscopy and HPLC.
  • Support optimization of protein and antibody conjugation processes.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records in compliance with regulatory standards (ISO 13485, FDA, EU Medical Device Regulations).
  • Assist with basic maintenance and calibration of lab equipment.
  • Follow laboratory safety protocols and ensure cleanliness and organization of the lab environment.
  • Contribute to quality control measures and troubleshooting experiments under supervision.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of laboratory experience, preferably in chemical synthesis or analytical chemistry.
  • Familiarity with laboratory techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, and basic bioconjugation methods.
  • Knowledge of lab safety procedures and experience with maintaining laboratory equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Experience in a regulated laboratory environment (e.g., ISO, CLIA) preferred.
  • Familiarity with immunoassay methods or biochip/microarray technologies is a plus.
