About OneSignal

We started as app developers who just wanted a developer-friendly API for push notifications. Finding no good solution, we built one ourselves.

Today, OneSignal is the leading solution for sending effective messages across channels including mobile push notifications, web push notifications, in-app messaging, SMS, and email. We support over 1,800,000 of the world's leading marketers and developers.

OneSignal is available on every platform and development environment, letting content creators focus on quality user engagement instead of complex implementation.

We are growing faster than ever, and hiring in all departments. We hope you'll apply and we look forward to meeting you!

About the role

OneSignal is a leading omnichannel customer engagement solution, powering personalized customer journeys across mobile and web push notifications, in-app messaging, SMS, and email. On a mission to democratize engagement, we enable over a million businesses to keep their users - including readers, fans, players and shoppers - engaged and up to date by delivering 12 billion messages daily.

1 in 5 new apps launches using OneSignal! We support companies in 140 countries, including Zynga, USA Today, Bitcoin.com, Eventbrite, Tribune, and many more - from startups and small businesses just getting off the ground to established companies communicating with millions of customers.

We’re Series C, venture-backed by SignalFire, Rakuten Ventures, Y Combinator, HubSpot, and BAM Elevate. We offer remote work as the default option in the United States in California, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah and Washington. As well as in the UK and Singapore - with plans to expand the locations we support in the future. Some roles are hybrid roles and will be listed as such. We have offices in San Mateo, CA and London, UK, and offer flex seating options for employees to work together in-person where we don't have offices. Hiring in Singapore is done in partnership with a local PEO.

OneSignal has a lot of the great tech startup qualities you'd expect, but we don't stop there. Our massive scale and small team, emphasis on healthy life balance and kindness in all our interactions, and focus on ownership and personal growth make OneSignal a uniquely great place to work.

OneSignal is looking for a Senior Product Designer to help design the UX of our customer engagement platform used by 2 million app developers & marketers. We're looking for a team member with attention to detail and who understands design is equal parts form and function. You will work closely with engineering, product and other areas of the business to help make our product more intuitive and delightful to use.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct various types of UX research including both qualitative and quantitative
  • Work with design and engineering to implement and evolve our design system
  • Build empathy and a deep understanding of our users and how to empower them

What You'll Bring:

  • 6+ years experience designing for B2B SaaS products
  • Extensive experience conducting usability testing and research
  • Experience leading design teams on a project basis
  • Ability to analyze, optimize, and simplify workflows
  • Experience designing for both responsive web and mobile
  • Relevant understanding of best practices and trends in UI/UX design
  • Effectively communicate with other team members (how we structure design team meetings)
  • Obsessive attention to pixels (design craft and shipping the details)
  • Portfolio of past work showcasing your process (see our Dribbble page)
  • Mastery of design and prototyping tools (we use Figma)
  • Familiar with building and thinking in design systems
  • Understand technical requirements and aspects of modern apps, SDKs & APIs
  • Experience working with marketing and communications software
  • US Remote (CA, NY, TX, PA, UT, WA) or UK Remote (working US East Coast hours)
