Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and refine battery models using PyBaMM and COMSOL to simulate performance under various conditions.
• Focus on degradation mechanisms such as Solid Electrolyte Interphase (SEI) formation, lithium plating, and thermal behavior.
• Analyze model outputs and validate against experimental data to improve model accuracy.
• Assist in optimizing battery parameters for enhanced performance, efficiency, and lifecycle.
• Document modeling procedures and results, and present findings to the engineering team.
• Collaborate with team members to support ongoing research and development projects

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of battery electrochemistry and degradation mechanisms.
• Proficiency in Python, with experience using PyBaMM or similar battery modeling libraries.
• Familiarity with COMSOL Multiphysics, particularly modules relevant to electrochemistry and thermal analysis.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in data analysis and model validation.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience with battery modeling, particularly for lithium-ion batteries.
• Knowledge of thermal management, capacity fade, and energy efficiency optimization.
• Coursework or experience in numerical methods, finite element analysis, or multiphysics simulations.
