Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Clinical Operations Lead to manage, optimize, and evolve our clinical operations. The Clinical Operations Lead will be responsible for managing providers, ensuring operational efficiency, and working closely with the Medical Director to refine clinical protocols with a focus on improving patient outcomes, retention, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provider Management:

  • Manage a team of healthcare providers, including physicians and nurse practitioners
  • Own on-platform provider capacity, ensuring sufficient staffing so that all patient consultations are completed within 24hrs. When needed, own new provider hiring and training.
  • Develop, implement, track, and enforce SLAs for all providers
  • Assist in clinical QA and provider chart review protocols

2. Clinical Operations and Strategy:

  • Be Measured’s clinical encyclopedia by consistently collecting feedback from providers and patients, analyzing data, and staying on top of telemedicine news and laws. 
  • Leverage your expertise to drive cross-functional projects aimed at:
    • Improving the quality of patient care and improving provider workflows
    • Reducing overall COGS
    • Improving patient retention and LTV
    • Improving organizational efficiencies
  • Test into and quarterback platform opportunities, including provider video and phone calls 
  • Build and lead a team of Clinical Operations Associates (COA) to effectively and efficiently Measured’s providers.

3. Clinical Protocol:

  • Work closely with Measured Medical Advisory Board to evolve and refine clinical protocols to improve patient outcomes, care quality, and service delivery. Ensure all new medical guidelines are properly disseminated to all Measured providers.

  • Expand Measured’s business – through launching new conditions, medications, supplements, and/or practice modalities – in partnership with Measured’s Medical Advisory Board. 

    • Co-author all Clinical Guidelines. Work cross-functionally with all internal teams to ensure all guidelines are appropriately productized, marketed, and operationalized.

     

  • Serve as the Medical Director’s primary business partner – thinking through business and practical implication for all necessary clinical

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare management, business administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in clinical operations or healthcare management, preferably within a telemedicine or weight-loss-focused environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across clinical and business functions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Interview Process

Step 1: Initial Screening Interview (45 minutes)

    • High-level discussion of specific qualifications, such as experience managing clinical trials, cross-functional teams, or healthcare operations.

Step 2: Technical and Clinical Expertise Interview (60 minutes)

  • Objective: Evaluate the candidate’s clinical and technical knowledge, as well as their ability to manage clinical operations.
  • Focus Areas:
    • Deep dive into their experience with clinical operations
    • Experience moving projects forward
    • Your approach to data and product
    • Familiarity with relevant software and tools

Step 3: Leadership and Strategy Interview (60 minutes)

  • Objective: Assess leadership qualities, strategic thinking, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Focus Areas:
    • Leadership style and experience managing teams
    • Conflict resolution and decision-making abilities in high-pressure situations.
    • Strategic vision for improving clinical operations and aligning with organizational goals.
    • Ability to mentor and develop junior team members.

Step 4: Cultural Fit and Behavioral Interview (60 minutes)

  • Objective: Evaluate cultural alignment with the organization’s values.
  • Focus Areas:
    • Understanding how the candidate works within a team and their interpersonal skills.
    • Collaboration and adaptability in diverse settings.
    • Behavioral questions to assess how they’ve handled specific work-related scenarios.
    • Their vision for contributing to the team culture and how they embody the organization’s values.

Optional: Final Executive Interview or Presentation (30-45 minutes)

  • The candidate may be asked to prepare a short presentation outlining a strategic plan for optimizing clinical operations in a hypothetical scenario.
