The Role

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in JavaScript (Node.js, React) and SQL, particularly with PostgreSQL. In this role, you will work on building, optimizing, and maintaining multiple interconnected web applications using GraphQL for API interactions. You’ll ensure that both the front-end and back-end components function efficiently, delivering high-quality user experiences and robust performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Node.js for the back-end and React for the front-end.
• Build and optimize PostgreSQL database queries and schemas.
• Develop and implement GraphQL APIs for smooth front-end and back-end integration.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable JavaScript code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure high-quality user experiences by implementing responsive and performant UI components in React.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and enhance existing systems for performance and scalability.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to the team’s overall technical improvement.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer.
• Proficient in JavaScript with hands-on experience in Node.js and React.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including writing efficient SQL queries and database design.
• In-depth knowledge of GraphQL for API development.
• Familiarity with front-end development concepts and creating rich, responsive UI components.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with cloud services such as AWS or GCP.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing processes.

Our platform is built on Grails (Java/Groovy), uses Postgres as a database and our client apps are built using React/React Native. All our infrastructure is hosted on AWS. For data processing we've built our own internal ETL tool.
