Company Overview

Apple Intelligence and Google Gemini are about to onboard 4 billion people to voice assistants that actually talk like people. This marks a new beginning for voice as the world’s default interface. We will all want voice everywhere. Businesses are not ready. Products are not ready.

We launched in March, scaled revenue, and raised this past week. We’re a small team of 6 and growing. We're building out the founding team in-person in SF to scale what’s working.

Mission

The Founding Sales will take on the entire Enterprise sales function, transitioning from founder-led sales. It will involve everything from both inbound and outbound prospecting of VPs, explaining our technical product on discovery calls, pilot scoping, commercial review, to signing the deal. You’ll also be a foundational part of how we build the culture at Vapi.

Commission: 20%, uncapped, we love writing commission cheques.

Outcomes

  1. Pitch the product to the founder in the first 7 days
  2. Take point on full qualified inbound pipeline in the first 14 days
  3. Close a $100k deal in the first 30 days working closely with CEO/founder
  4. Reach a rate of 4x $100k deals per month in the first 60 days
  5. Close an outbound deal in the first 60 days

  • Competitive: You have a history of winning in sales, sports, or games
  • Cracked-ness: You’re more cracked than the most cracked person on the team at Sales
  • Startup Ready: You have a reason to be here and can make sacrifices for something uncertain
  • Founder Juice: New ideas come from you, you build it yourself or annoy everyone until it’s done ;)

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of B2B closing experience
  • Held direct quota for at least 2 years
  • Has independently closed $100k+ deals
  • Has a technical background / education / experience selling a developer product
