About HockeyStack

HockeyStack is an analytics and attribution tool for B2B SaaS. It collects and helps analyze data from all parts of the SaaS customer journey - marketing, sales, and product engagement. Our goal is to make tracking and gaining insights from all this data easier and faster.

About the role

The Demand Generation Manager will be the keystone of the marketing team, working with the soon-to-be-hired Sr. Digital Manager and another marketing team member whose role we will shape together. If hitting pipeline and revenue targets drive you to get the job done, no matter how big or small, we want to talk to you.

Who you are:

HockeyStack is not for the faint of heart. We are looking for people who want to build a unicorn, think big and execute well to get the job done. That means full time in our HQ office in San Francisco, but it also means top 10% pay for the role, building your personal brand while at work, and getting in early as we continue to grow.

You’re right for this role if you:

  • Have experience in multiple areas of marketing or came up through operations, events, campaigns or another specialization that isn’t demand generation (you grew into a demgen role after touching other pieces of marketing)
  • Are excited about the idea of (and actually) using HockeyStack to inform decisions on the marketing side from paid to organic and inbound to outbound
  • Have experience working closely with sales reps (BDR → AE) and CS to make sure we are creating campaigns that cover the full lifecycle from new to expansion
  • Love making sure the trains are running on schedule. Managing multiple channels and getting MVP messaging out the door
  • Understand and love the positive chaos of working in a startup where there is never enough time to get everything done - so you know how to prioritize and make an impact
  • Ideally, you’ve been in a Director of Demand Generation or Campaigns role before, but if you can show us how you have run multichannel, integrated campaigns with clear KPIs and learnings, please apply.

Day-to-day, your role will look like this:

  • Jumping in to HubSpot to set up a workflow or email, LinkedIn Live to set up a broadcast, and negotiating contract terms with a vendor
  • Working with our digital and SEO contractors to ensure paid and organic spend and structure are aligned to campaigns and have clear outcomes
  • Planning events, virtual and face-to-face that include CMO dinners, satellites for major industry events like INBOUND and partner livestreams
  • Writing a LinkedIn post about how you used HockeyStack to decide where to invest more budget this month and the outcomes it drove
  • Segmenting our email database and reviewing customer journeys (a super cool feature in HockeyStack) to figure out the best nurture cadence and content
  • You’ll also be managing spend / budgeting, tracking progress to goal on full funnel metrics and reporting and sharing campaign performance with the company.

If this job excites you, even if it scares you a little bit, we encourage you to apply - we would love to talk to you!

Technology

We are continuously ingesting data from customer websites and also integrate with 25+ SaaS tools. Basically, we store a lot of data and have to make sense from it all. Our main technologies for the backend include NodeJS, AWS, and ClickHouse.
