About the role

Company: Koko Home

Koko Home is on a mission to address the two most important and impactful trends in healthcare today: 1) meeting the needs of a rapidly aging population outstripping the system's capabilities to care for them; and 2) patients desire to age and be cared for at home. The company’s product offering includes a digital care companion and enablement platform for senior living and home care. The solution integrates intelligent ambient sensing (radar), artificial intelligence (AI) and large language models (LLM's) to streamline caregiver-patient interactions, boost engagement, and empower patients with a better understanding of their care plans, leading to timely interventions that improve care while reducing overall care delivery costs.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead and harmonize the engineering work streams across our software (backend/frontend, AI/DL/LLM), hardware, and product departments. This role is critical in bridging the gap between product vision and engineering execution, ensuring seamless collaboration and delivery of innovative healthcare solutions. You will work closely with our leadership, product and engineering teams to break down complex product requirements and translate them into actionable tasks. Additionally, you’ll work with product and other stakeholders on organizing projects and conduct quality assurance to help us get to the market efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cross-Department Integration: act as the primary point of contact to ensure alignment and collaboration between our product, LLMs, AIs, software engineering (backend & frontend), and hardware engineering teams. Drive the integration of multidisciplinary engineering efforts to deliver cohesive products.
  • Engineering Workstream Management: collaborate with product and engineering teams to define, prioritize, and manage engineering workstreams. Ensure that engineering tasks are clearly defined, understood, and executed efficiently to meet product goals.
  • Communication and Translation: work closely with the product team to understand requirements and customer needs. Translate these into detailed, actionable engineering plans. Communicate progress and challenges effectively across teams.
  • Stakeholder and Operations Management: interface with internal stakeholders to understand strategic priorities. Break down high-level product ideas into specific engineering tasks and ensure these tasks are completed according to plan. Manage internal and backend operations, focusing on translating strategic goals into technical requirements for the engineering teams. Monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure high-quality delivery of projects. Work with frontend teams to ensure customer needs are reflected in the product design and functionality, building a bridge between customers, product teams, and engineering to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Process Improvement: help with internal processes to enhance efficiency and track product development to ensure all aspects of projects are on course.
  • Quality Assurance and Delivery: oversee the completion of engineering tasks, ensuring they meet the required specifications and quality standards. Implement rigorous checking and validation processes to maintain the integrity of deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 7+ years of program or project management experience, preferably in a technology-driven environment. Experience in healthcare technology is a plus.
