Dots is a developer-friendly API that lets businesses pay their contractors through just a few lines of code. Whether its gig workers like Uber drivers, sellers on marketplaces like Etsy, or simply your local handyman - Dots’ abstracts away the complexity of payouts completely. We manage the entire process: information collection (KYC), payments through any rail (ACH, Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, international, and many more to come), and even filing tax forms! Dots lets developers get payouts up and running over just a few hours, rather than the many months this would normally take.

What We’re Looking For

Dots is looking for a Head of Compliance, reporting directly to the CEO. Responsibilities will range from bolstering Dots’ Compliance program, interfacing with money movement partners, as well as applying for licensing where relevant. The right candidate will be a self-starter, and excited to join a fast growing startup at the ground level.

What You’ll Do:

• Help define and implement compliance processes with founders and external stakeholders
• Recommend approval status of customers deemed high risk
• Monitor Dots Compliance infrastructure, addressing concerns around BSA, AML, OFAC, other applicable regulations, and partner requirements.
• Liaise with external partners as their primary contact around compliance and risk

What you’ll bring to the table:

• 2+ years of experience in compliance; bonus points given to those with experience working for a regulated entity (e.g. bank or money transmitter).
• Knowledge of BSA/AML, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), OFAC, independent testing, and other compliance topics
• Experience applying for Money Transmitter Licensing
• Ability to document and improve processes
• Ability to juggle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• You have a willingness to learn and have fun!
• Passion for FinTech
