About Pulppo

Pulppo is building Shopify for the real estate brokerages in Latin America. We provide them with performance analytics software, automatic online property listings, a valuation tool and a CRM. We will charge 20% of the 166 billions dollars in annual commissions they generate.  From our integrated tool we automate non-value added activities, and give visibility and transparency to agents (CRM) and customers (buyer collaboration, seller dashboard). By integrating the entire process, we empower agents to deliver an improved customer journey and more efficient process.

About the role

We are looking for strong multidisciplinary people with experience in consulting from top firms, startups (either founders or early team members that had generic roles and did a bit of everything) that want to get their hands dirty, build stuff and grow fast with us.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the launch and expansion of Pulppo in Argentina. From setting up the company to talking to customers and putting together the business model, you’ll be responsible for all areas related to launching in the country.
  • Lead the commercial strategy to ensure the company meets its expansion requirements while providing the same quality service we provide in Mexico.
  • Work closely with the founders in strategy of the country.
  • Recruit local teams for the organization.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the PropTech and real estate market to identify opportunities and threats.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Strategy consulting from a top firm. If you have experience IMPLEMENTING (not only strategizing) Operations, Sales, Strategy or Finance projects, a huge plus.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Metric-driven mindset with a focus on achieving results.
  • Experience working in a startup environment, especially during the early growth stages is a Plus.
  • Familiarity with real estate brokerage operations and market dynamics is a Plus.

About You:

  • You are proactive and take initiative to make things happen.
  • You have a strong background in strategy consulting from a top firm, are fluent in spanish and like to work independently or you were a startup founder or an early employee at a company that grew fast (and you led an area).
  • You thrive in a hectic environment and are comfortable with the fast pace and ambiguity that come with it.
  • You have experience in teams that scaled rapidly and successfully.
  • You are adept at using technology to streamline sales processes and improve efficiency.

Compensation:

  • Based on role but range from $30,000 to $50,000USD plus quarterly bonus.

Technology

Our infrastructure is based on a microservice architecture. Each of the microservices use modern web technologies such as typescript, react, next.js and tailwind for the frontend and typescript, express.js and node.js for the backend. Even some of our microservices run in python (mostly for data-driven tasks or ML models). For databases we prefer using mongoDB, but we are open to the idea of using postgresql or other relational databases if they better solve the problem. We are also developing some machine learning and computer vision applications using keras, tensorflow and opencv (even some tensorflow.js for frontend apps). On the infrastructure side of things, all our microservices are dockerized and running on kubernetes (some on lambda functions/serverless).
