Solutions Engineer

We’re looking for a dynamic and resourceful Solutions Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring our customers experience seamless and successful integrations with our cutting-edge data labeling platform. As a Solutions Engineer, you’ll be on the front lines, working closely with customers to understand their needs, solve complex technical challenges, and ensure our solutions meet their unique requirements. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical onboarding of new customers, ensuring a smooth and positive experience from day one.
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to tailor our platform to customer needs. Develop SQL queries for analytics, manual updates, and internal tooling. Contribute to the development and enhancement of our API.
  • Become an expert on our data labeling platform, able to demonstrate its capabilities to stakeholders at all levels and troubleshooting any technical issues that arise.
  • Design and implement tailored solutions to meet specific customer needs, including working with datasets of differing modalities and across various platforms.
  • Engage with customers regularly to understand their pain points, gather requirements, and design innovative solutions to enhance their workflows.
  • Work closely with our product and engineering teams to translate customer feedback and requirements into actionable product enhancements.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including publicly available code snippets to help customers utilize our platform.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a full-time technical role, preferably with a focus on customer-facing solutions. Strong understanding of computer science, data management, or related fields.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience writing code in Python (or a similar scripting language) and SQL queries, with the ability to develop scripts and contribute to API development. Ability to quickly learn and work with new technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to tackle complex technical problems and design effective solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Motivated by helping customers succeed, with a strong desire to roll up your sleeves and solve tough problems in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience working with data labeling or machine learning.
  • Prior experience working with customers in a life sciences-adjacent domain.
  • Strong operational skills, including project management, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of thriving in a rapidly changing environment.

Pay & Benefits:

The annual US base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $140,000 USD. This salary range will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.

Technology

We use React.js and Swift on the frontend, and Python and Swift (Vapor) on the backend. Our data store is PostgreSQL, and we're hosted on AWS.

Centaur faces a wide variety of difficult technical problems, from efficiently serving millions of images and videos to our users, to ensuring our platform is secure and our valuable data sets remain private, to performing complex analysis on our users' performance and building machine learning models to take our decision making capabilities to the next level.
