About Us

Play.ai (fka PlayHT) is at the forefront of generative voice and conversational LLMs. With our Speech Synthesis and Voice Cloning models, we are building SOTA conversational AI products.

We are building a platform and infrastructure for Conversational AI Voice Agents so that every business, developer, or tinkerer can easily build talking human-like AI agents and use them to serve their customers; this will unlock massive value for the world and a lot of happiness for people using these delightful agents.

We joined YC last year in the YC W23 batch. Since then, we have raised $20m in seed funding and seen significant growth in users and revenue (20x the last two years).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interface with Customers: Engage with customers using our API and Agent product offerings, understanding their needs and pain points to provide prompt and effective solutions.
  • Ensure Successful Adoption: Work with the CS team to ensure the adoption of our offerings within these accounts. Coordinate closely with sales engineering & customer success, to guarantee client satisfaction.
  • Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring ongoing communication and proactive problem-solving.
  • Sales Enablement: Assist in creating and refining sales materials, including presentations, demos, and case studies, to clearly communicate the value of our products.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, the competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in AI and speech synthesis to enhance customer interactions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, engineering, and support teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from pre-sales through post-sales.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in an Account Executive role.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, or a related field is preferred. However, we welcome candidates with relevant experience who can share a compelling story about their pivot post-college.
  • Customer Success: Proven track record of driving positive outcomes for customers.
  • Communication Skills: Strong conversational and interpersonal skills.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently, manage multiple customers, and meet deadlines.
  • Passion & Curiosity: A strong interest in software products, especially in the AI and language models space, and a drive to help customers succeed.
  • Growth Mindset: Eagerness to learn, adapt, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
