We are building a marketplace for rare coins and precious metals. Yes, physical coins, are made of Gold, Silver, Platinum, and palladium. We go against the grain of the industry, which is archaic and largely offline. We strive for Transparency, Liquidity, and Simplicity in the marketplace.

Pure is the first marketplace for rare coins and precious metals. We are a small but mighty team based in the heart of San Francisco, with a love for the intersection of collectibles and marketplaces.

We help individuals, coin shops, wholesalers and market makers transact in the marketplace, where most deals used to be OTC. Our vendor base is growing exponentially month-over-month and has aggregated over $300m of liquidity. Our customer base has to be closely monitored due to the nature of our business, as part of being a controller at Pure Vendor Records, we will have to collect KYC/KYB documents as a part of the onboarding process.

We process millions of dollars (6-8+) worth of trades every month through vendor and corporate business accounts, your job is to make sure every transaction is complete and precise and that every penny is where it is supposed to be. You will help manage the vendor AR/AP, as well as credit lines with market-makers in the business. You will also be overseeing new accounts and helping them scale their ledger as they grow.

Most of the accounting software will be in-house using our PostgreSQL database. You may also have to refer to manual and paper invoices from customers to reconcile transactions. You should have extensive accounting and auditing knowledge from your previous roles, as well as being a CPA. Other certifications will be very helpful as well in proving your ability to be precise. Preparing just balance sheets and financial statements is also core to this role.

You will have creative freedom to help establish fee restructures and dynamic prices within the marketplace itself, as well as creative control over internal accounting software that will help build and shape the financial operations at Pure.
