Interview Process

At DianaHR, we’re looking for product engineers who can learn and work quickly, communicate effectively, and are intrinsically motivated to do their best work. Towards that end, we have a short interview process to evaluate these qualities in candidates. On average, we’ve found that this process takes 1 - 2 weeks depending on scheduling.

Phone Screen

A casual conversation with one of our founders to gauge interest, fit, and communication skills. We will discuss your work experience — in particular, work experience at technical startups. We will be interested in what challenges you faced during your working career and how you approached addressing them. This is also a chance for you to get to know us better and ask questions!

Technical Screen

A more in-depth technical conversation with a member of our engineering team. This is intended to gauge your technical communication skills and understanding what technical problems that you’ve solved during your career and your approach to solving them.

Onsite Trial

We’ve found that the best way to understand your work is to have you join us for a day and work on a real problem that we have at DianaHR. This also gives you a chance to understand our culture and meet our team to ensure that there’s a mutual fit and interest. During this time, you will pair with a member of our engineering team to learn about our stack and process and be asked to make modifications in our code base.
