We were pioneers in using PIX, the novel Brazilian payment rail, as a credit and payment platform, launching our solution in 2022. In Brazil, there are over 20 million small businesses (SMBs) that collectively move more than $200 billion annually. However, many still lack access to financial products that truly meet their needs. At Zippi, we are changing this by creating customized financial solutions tailored to the cash flow needs of SMBs, starting with working capital via PIX. Through our payment platform, our clients can purchase supplies with the click of a button and have up to 10 days to repay, gaining the working capital they need to grow their businesses.

Our technological infrastructure is what enables us to serve these clients and drives our rapid, profitable growth. We have developed a platform capable of processing a large volume of data and payments and using this information to manage the customer journey in a highly automated way. About the Engineering Team

Our engineering team is focused on delivering value to our customers, collaborating directly with all business areas of the company. We believe that the best decisions come from providing context and autonomy to our engineers, allowing them to take a leading role in building our solutions.

We prioritize commitment, a willingness to learn, and the ability to collaborate and co-create over specific knowledge of languages or technologies. We tackle high-impact engineering challenges and foster an environment where our engineers work in cross-functional teams, connecting different business areas.

As an Engineering Leader, you will be responsible for:

  • Strategically guiding the team to ensure alignment with the business's key drivers and levers;

  • Building and developing a high-performance team;

  • Ensuring the quality of the team's execution and continuous process improvement;

  • Actively contributing to the roadmap development process;

  • Actively participating in the hiring processes for the engineering team and the company as a whole.

You are the ideal candidate if you have:

  • Experience in Software Engineering, owning high-impact projects and proposing and building scalable solution architectures;

  • Experience in leading high-performance teams and directing teams focused on delivering business value;

  • The ability to provide valuable input that elevates the team's solutions, with quick problem-solving skills;

  • Experience managing multiple priorities, taking on responsibilities, and navigating risks in a fast-paced environment;

  • Experience collaborating closely with different business areas to identify, prioritize, and solve problems;

  • Experience actively developing and mentoring careers, managing performance and conflicts, and influencing teams;

  • A proven track record of managing, recruiting, and retaining top engineering talent and building effective teams.

You are not the ideal candidate if you:

  • Are overly attached to specific technologies/stacks;

  • Are attached to specific processes (we give our engineers the freedom to manage projects as they see fit);

  • Have limited experience in value-focused environments (versus project delivery environments);

  • Have limited experience in team building (e.g., do not actively participate in hiring processes);

  • Have limited experience in team development (e.g., few cases of developing top talent).
