About Phoenix

We are Phoenix, a mission-driven digital healthcare platform for men. We are dedicated to improving the relationship men have with their health, while building the future of patient-centric healthcare in Canada from diagnosing to delivery.

About the role

What we're looking for

We are looking for a full stack dev! Phoenix is a Y Combinator backed startup based in downtown Toronto. You’ll work closely with the cofounders to continue to build out the patient and physician side of our platform. We are looking for a passionate, mission-driven engineer who takes pride in the products they build. You're the type of dev who loves the whiteboard and figuring out streamlined solutions to complicated workflows.

Qualifications

  • Have 5+ years of professional programming experience

  • Have 3+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails (or a similar MVC framework)

  • Are comfortable in at least one modern Javascript front-end framework (ideally React)

  • Creating software features that are robust, reliable, and user-friendly for both internal teams and our customers

  • Has experience thoroughly testing and deploying their own code

  • You care about men’s health and have a personal connection to the space

Why work at Phoenix?

  • Impact & autonomy. You’ll work directly with our founders who understand the ups-and-downs of the business and you'll have a real opportunity to shape the future at Phoenix

  • Rewarding Mission. We're delivering the best healthcare experience to Canadians across the country

  • We are a small elite team in Downtown Toronto. We love the tight feedback loop of working together in the office. If you've missed that in-person office experience, and love sharing strongly held opinions of the best lunch spot nearby, this is the role for you
