We are looking to add a Customer Success Engineer to our team in Korea!

As a Customer Success Engineer, you are the trusted technical advisor of named Rescale customers. You work closely with customers and internal teams to deliver the best cloud HPC experience to the users. You enjoy building meaningful relationships, and willing to go above and beyond for the customers. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in coordinating and executing technical activities throughout the customer post-sales engagement, such as customer meetings, trainings, demonstrations, and proof of concepts.  Our most successful CSE’s create 2-3 POC’s for Strategic customers per quarter

  • Work to analyze technical needs, requirements, the customer’s current infrastructure, operations, and workflows. Our CSE’s point of contact is usually a CFD or FEA engineer, mechanical or aerospace engineer, where you will learn their technical workflow and help build a POC that shows them how Rescale can make them run faster

  • Gain knowledge of customer's workflow and simulation environments to provide a tailored solution with unique value prop. Our customers sit in the most innovative technologies in the world, from genome sequencing to aeronautical design to crash testing and more

  • Work with customers to define and execute customers’ digital transformation strategy to migrate workloads from on-prem to the cloud. Our CSE’s create strategic roadmaps that span from 1 - 5 years

  • Articulate and present Rescale solutions at conferences, user groups, webinars, etc. Our CSE’s attend 5-6 regional and national conferences throughout the year

  • Domestic travel of up to 40% of the time

  • Overtime may be required for communication with the headquarters based on customer requests

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Electronic/Electrical Engineering

  • 5+ years of professional experience or a Master's degree

  • Proficiency in Linux shell scripting (C shell)

  • Business-level English communication skills is a plus

  • Customer obsession is the top priority

  • Eagerness to learn new skills and knowledge

  • Enjoy solving difficult problems and strive to find the best solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience in CAE software companies

  • Previous work experience as CAE Engineer in the manufacturing industry

  • We provide an additional layer of reliability, fault tolerance, and tuning for HPC applications which were not originally designed to run on cloud hardware.
  • We are helping engineering companies figure out the best way to incorporate machine learning algorithms into their design lifecycle.

  • Our core infrastructure runs on AWS. The compute clusters we run for customers are created on AWS, Azure, GCP, and IBM in the cloud, along with Bare Metal On-Premises data centers.

Our engineering team is broken up into smaller groups of 5-7 people with a combined full stack skill set. We try to keep meetings to a minimum: there is a daily standup and a weekly task estimation meeting. We have two week release cycles however developers are encouraged to push important features and bug fixes to production as needed. Writing clean, testable code is a point of emphasis and we use GitHub PRs to ensure a minimum quality bar and also to disseminate best practices and spread domain knowledge around.
