Text Blaze saves time and increases comms quality by automating repeated tasks. Users save smart templates and insert them anywhere on the web using keyboard shortcuts. Templates can include placeholders, logic, dynamic fields, integrations with other apps, and more.

A founding team engineering hire, we're looking for a strong full-stack engineer to own development of components of our application.

This is primarily a backend role but contains some front-end work (around 20% of the role).

For us, ownership means not only owning the engineering side, but also a lot of the product thinking too. We have a core philosophy that tech and product go hand in hand.

On a backend side, you should deep knowledge of the following:

• Python
• Django
• PostgreSQL (in-depth knowledge of optimizing database performance and features like PL/pgSQL UDF’s is needed).

On the frontend, moderate JavaScript experience is required with Vue and React experience being a plus.

Since you'll be responsible for a lot of product thinking too, you also need to:

• Love talking to users and working out how to solve their problems
• Understand business needs and figure out the technical solutions to solve them
• Have an eye for design and be comfortable designing your own UI's and own solutions

Our tech stack is:

• JavaScript and React on the front end
• Google Platform on the backend with extensive use of BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Firestore and Cloud Storage

We take a rigorous but pragmatic approach to our systems. We want to keep things simple and easy to maintain with minimal levels of abstraction or complexity. We're talking complex problems, so that's not always possible but we're looking for people who share those goals.
