About the role

Who are we looking for?

We are searching for early engineers to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to both the external interfaces used by our customers and the internal services that form the foundation of our API platform. Working on a platform dedicated to supporting the millions of connected trucks on the road, you will be challenged with designing for massive amounts of data, scaling up to petabytes. You will collaborate with Raghav and I to design and develop new features with a focus on quality and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Lead key architecture decisions for the platform.
• Design systems to orchestrate ingestion, monitor data quality and serve analytics queries.
• Design clear and robust REST APIs for customers to consume.
• Lead the scoping and development of new integrations.
• Produce high-quality, production-ready, readable, and maintainable code.
• Unblock and support team members and customers.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of back-end or data engineering experience.
• Experience building TB+ scale data pipelines, preferably using AWS services.
• Experience processing high volume time-series or streaming data.
• Pragmatic focus on building the right solution for customers.
• Comfortable jumping around the stack and wearing different hats.
• Preferred, but not required: experience designing serverless architectures.
