ProhostAI (YC S24) building an AI-powered operating system for Airbnb hosts. Our founding team consists of data scientists and engineers from Airbnb, Dropbox, Pinterest, Harvard and Yale. We have raised $1.5M and are backed by Y Combinator and Pear VC. Our founding team consists of technologists who are also Airbnb hosts with a 4.99+ rating across thousands of stays.

Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role based out of our office in San Francisco. We are seeking Founding Product Designer to join our early-stage startup and help shape the future of Airbnb hosting. In this role, you will have the opportunity to own the end-to-end design process for key features of our AI-powered host operating system. 

As our first full time Product Designer, you will:

• Work closely with the founding team to define the product vision, strategy and roadmap
• Lead the UX and UI design for core product features from ideation through implementation 
• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs to communicate design solutions
• Partner with engineering to ensure designs are implemented to spec and the final product delivers an exceptional user experience
• Conduct user research and usability testing to validate designs and gather insights
• Contribute to building our design system and evolving our design processes as the team grows
• Provide input on product direction and help shape the design culture at an early stage

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of product design experience, in consumer, B2B SaaS and/or marketplaces
• Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design work across web and mobile 
• Expertise in interaction design, visual design, and design systems
• Highly proficient with Figma. Experience with Dev Mode
• User-centered design approach and experience with user research and usability testing methods
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills 
• Ability to operate autonomously in an ambiguous and fast-paced startup environment
• Passion for the short-term rental space and empathy for hosts is a big plus
• Contractor role with potential for full-time conversion
