As founding engineer, you will be Artos’s first hire and will play a critical role in developing the Artos product and Artos’s long-term vision and strategy. This position offers a unique opportunity to build an innovative, enterprise AI platform from the ground up. The founding engineer will work closely with the founders to design, develop, and deploy these solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ experience in software development, with a strong background in building AI/ML applications.
- Full Stack Software Development Experience, including:
- Experience with cloud services (e.g. AWS, Azure). Experience with Azure specifically is a plus.
- Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue). Experience with React specifically is a plus.
- Experience building GenAI applications–including model evaluation, prompt engineering, and fine tuning. Knowledge of evaluation frameworks, vector databases, and RAG is preferred.
- Experience with AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and developing datasets for model training.
- Experience building and scaling backend systems and infrastructure
- Experience with building, deploying, and maintaining secure cloud based software tools
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the life sciences industry is a plus. Willingness to learn is a necessity.

Interview Process
Step 1: Phone Screen (30 min)
Step 2: Project (3-5 days). Work on a real problem we’ve solved.
Step 3: Onsite (1 day). Come work with us for a day in our office in SF!
