Clad is construction management software for building infrastructure. We’re looking for a full stack engineer to join the team!

What's the role?

A product-minded, full stack engineer.

You'll be responsible for building out every aspect of Clad's product. Ideally, you shape not just the code, but also the direction of the business - informing how we work, the products we build, and the team that we'll assemble to achieve our vision.

Why are we hiring?

1. We're growing like crazy (7x in the last year) and need to ship to hit our ambitious growth goals for the coming year. We know what we need to build to get there, and it's just a matter of executing.
2. We have several strategic Big Bets™️ we're hoping to break ground on and want to find someone with the expertise, creativity and passion for solving tough problems to lead some of those initiatives.

What are we looking for?

• Craft: You care about the UX you're building, the code you're writing, the system you're modeling, etc.
• Ownership: You want to talk to the customer -> define the product -> sketch the UI -> do the modeling -> write the code -> QA the feature -> make sure it works for the customer. We do everything collaboratively here, so you're never on an island, but it's your show at the end of the day.
• Business Thinking: You make decisions as if you're an owner of the business, because - you know - you are!
• Learning & Teaching: You like to figure out better ways to do things and share them with the team. You like to learn from those around you, regardless of job function/experience.

• ~5 years of runway, raised $2.7M from Y Combinator, Better Tomorrow Ventures, and others. Most of it is still in the bank.
• 4 people - Jason (McKinsey, Instagram), Daniel (Cash App, Pager Duty), Devin (Read AI), and Max (Foraged)

Why Clad

We are in the early innings of a generational upgrade to our country’s infrastructure.

Against the backdrop of enormous demand from AI (data centers, power transmission), expanding renewable energy networks, and insatiable demand for internet bandwidth, our country’s builders are racing to keep up.

But there’s a problem - the tools to handle this demand are inadequate. 

Most construction software wasn’t built for infrastructure projects, and industry-specific options are either too hard to use or too narrow to have a real impact.

We’re setting out to change this. Our goal - to build the tools to accelerate infrastructure deployment.
